QATAR 2022: Croatia beat Morocco 2 – 1 to claim 3rd place in the 2022 FIFA World Cup

Croatia defeated Morocco 2-1 on December 17 in the evening to win third place in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Over 44,000 spectators came to watch the game at the Khalifa Stadium in Qatar. Josko Gvardiol of Croatia scored the game’s first goal in the seventh minute, followed by Achraf Dari of Morocco in the ninth. In the 42nd minute, Mislav Orsic scored the game-winning goal to give Croatia the victory.
Gvardiol, 20, surpassed Ivica Olic to become the World Cup’s youngest goal scorer for Croatia (2002).
Since the World Cup in France in 1998, Croatia has won two bronze medals. The team’s best result to date came in second place in the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Morocco made history in Qatar by becoming the first African team to get to the World Cup semifinals.
On Sunday, December 18, at Lusail Stadium, the World Cup championship between France and Argentina, the defending champion, will be decided.
