Nigerians engage in Bishop Challenge to mock the APC over alleged hiring of fake clerics

0

Nigerians started the #BishopChallenge as a way to mock the APC after they claimed that they had hired fake clergy to dress up in religious regalia for the party’s Vice President candidate.

Nigerians protested the sharing of photos of the “clerics”, who were at the APC party, online Wednesday, July 20.

Many have accused the ruling party in Nigeria of disrespecting Nigerians by having paid actors wear religious robes to show that they support the party’s Muslim Muslim ticket.

The conversation is still going strong two days later.

Nigerians are now using various platforms to mock “clerics”, who were present at the unveiling, by using items from home as costumes to transform into religious clerics.

Many Nigerians participated in the challenge by using bedsheets to be the Bishop’s robes. They also used bowls and pots to be the Bishop’s cap and mopsticks or batons as the staff.
