Bless 1 is a product of Chicago and an emcee/producer/composer with numerous placements on cable networks such as VH1, Spike TV, Oxygen, and TLC. Bless’ musical versatility is his greatest asset as he can effortlessly compose music in multiple genres which evoke emotional reactions from listeners. For this reason, he can seamlessly transition between Hip-Hop and Electronic music for his numerous scores, film score cues or show bumpers. To date, his compositions have also been used in television advertisements for Rooftop Films and Fox Head and he scores short films & webisodes for The Internets Celebrities (Dallas Penn & Rafi Kam) which often go viral thus exposing his music to even more people.
Bless 1 is currently an in demand music composer and producer, but that wasn’t always the case. Back in 2007, Bless 1 made a collaborative LP with French beat culture staple Powell titled “Starving Artist” where he was the emcee. He is also known for his bars on German producer Portformat’s standout track “Knock Knock” in 2009. Shortly following the release of that project he began to progressively focus his talents and energies more on music production and composing as opposed to just emceeing. His latest creative foray is the heartfelt and soulful instrumental project “Love”.
“Love” is crafted entirely of instrumentals sampling Soul/R&B records that contain songs about the same subject. The project’s theme encompasses not only the love of the culture of record digging and music appreciation, but also the love of music in general. It encompasses the love of composing or creating music and also the celebration of love in all of its forms and incarnations. This 15 track 25 minute opus perfectly captures the sheer joy and rapture involved in loving what you do and doing what you love. After listening to this collection of moving instrumentals there’s no possible way you can help but to fall in love with “Love”.
