The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Europe has a pause with some governors, according to American-Nigerian singer-songwriter David Adeleke, also known as Davido.
Davido was pictured with governors Seyi Makinde of Oyo state, Nyesom Wike of Rivers state, Samuel Ortom of Benue state, and Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia state in a picture that is currently trending online.
The singer and a drink were spotted together.
Although the meeting’s specifics have not yet been made public, it has been learned that PDP governors and the All Progressives Congress’ (APC) presidential candidate are reportedly meeting in London to discuss strategy.
Remember that after the hotly contested July governorship election in the state, Davido played a significant part in the emergence of his uncle, Senator Ademola Adeleke, as the governor-elect of Osun state under the PDP.
In order to win the election, Adeleke narrowly defeated Gboyega Oyetola, the incumbent governor and member of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Senator Adeleke received 403,371 votes, beating out Oyetola’s 375,027 votes.
Since Oyetola won the most recent governorship race in Osun, Davido has supported Adeleke.
Throughout the campaign and up until his uncle was recognized as the legitimate victor of the Osun 2022 governorship race, Davido gave a ton of performances and rallies in support of Adeleke.
Following his dispute with Abubakar Atiku, who defeated Wike to win the PDP nomination in May, Wike has been widely rumored to be leaving the PDP in the meanwhile.
Since Atiku defeated Wike in the PDP presidential primary, Wike has been mocking Atiku and other senior party figures.
