All Hail The Sardaunan San-Turakin Sarkin Pauwan Katsina
The sleepy town of Kankara in Katsina state recently witnessed a historic event as Engr. Delali Jeremiah Tawiah was conferred with the prestigious title of Sardaunan San-Turakin by the Sarkin Pauwan Katsina, who is also the District Head of Kankara traditional council. This momentous occasion took place at the Officers' Mess, Police College Kaduna, and was attended by a large crowd of distinguished personalities from across the nation.
On December 29, 2024, the Sarkin Pauwan of Kankara Kingdom, DSP Bashir Nura, witnessed an influx of people from all walks of life gathering to witness the turbaning ceremony. According to sources, Engr. Tawiah was chosen for his remarkable contributions to humanity, making him a suitable candidate for this historic title.
As a fourth-generation marine engineer, Engr. Tawiah has worked on various projects, including ship repair, offshore support vessels, and maritime logistics. His outstanding contributions to Nigeria's maritime and oil/gas industries have earned him several awards, including "Maritime Personality of the Year," "Entrepreneur of the Year," and "Philanthropist of the Year." 
Adekunle Adeyemi, CEO of Gaze Production, described the title as well-deserved, urging Engr. Tawiah to continue his efforts and contributions towards societal development. As a Togolese/Nigerian marine engineer, entrepreneur, and philanthropist, Engr. Tawiah's achievements serve as a testament to his dedication and commitment.
